Google

Eplexity uses a number of Google services, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Remarketing. Eplexity and Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Website. This means that vendors including Google will display Eplexity promotional material on other websites you visit across the Internet. Google’s privacy policy can be found here, and their terms of service here.

Google Analytics – Our website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics employs cookies that are stored to your computer in order to facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your visits to our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the US and stored there. Google Analytics also uses electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our website is used. Google Analytics policy requirements can be found here.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google states that it will in never associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly as noted elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

Google Analytics also offers a deactivation add-on for most current browsers that provides you with more control over what data Google can collect on websites you access. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) used by Google Analytics not to transmit any information about website visits to Google Analytics. However, the browser deactivation add-on offered by Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we may engage. Below are cookies used by Google Analytics and their duration:

_ga Used by Google Analytics to track user activity over different browsing sessions. 2 years

_gali Used by Google Analytics to record what item on the previous page the user interacted with to get to the current page immediately

_utma Used by Google Analytics to store information on number of visits, first visit, and most recent visit 2 years

_utmb Used by Google Analytics to record the timestamp of the moment the user enters the website 1 month

_utmc Used by Google Analytics to track when users leave the website 1 year

_utmz Used by Google Analytics to track where a visitor came from 1 year

Google Ads – Our website uses Google conversion tracking by Google on some pages. This means that Google Ads places a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have accessed our webpage via a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone has clicked on an ad and been directed to our page as a result thereof. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie allows us to prepare conversion statistics to optimize our services. Google Ads customers know, for instance, the total number of customers who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. But they do not receive any information by which users can be personally identified. If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can prevent the placement of the necessary cookie – for instance through a browser setting that deactivates the automatic placement of cookies in general.

Google Remarketing – With this technology, users who have already visited our website and shown in interest in what we have to offer are shown targeted advertising on other websites of the Google Partner network. The ads are displayed through the use of cookies, by means of which the user’s behavior during his or her visit to the website is analyzed and then used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. If you do not wish to receive any interest-based advertising, you can deactivate Google’s use of cookies for these purposes here.

Google Tag Manager – GTM is a tag management system to manage JavaScript and HTML tags used for tracking and analytics on websites. Tags are small code elements that are used to measure traffic and visitor behavior, to understand the effect of online advertising and social channels, to set up remarketing and orientation towards target groups, and to test and optimize websites. GTM makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags.
